The Beautiful Nina Dobrev from The Vampire Diaries. (taken from the web)
Hello everyone! It's a cold Friday morning and it kept me under the sheets for an extra hour. Anyway, few days ago, I was invited by a friend to do a photoshoot with a peg of 'The Vampire Diaries'. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of a 'vampire-romance' storyline. I've watched Twilight and tried to read the books (I managed to read only one, haha. sorry, Meyer's style isn't my taste.) but I just get bored or unimpressed every single time.
Imagine my surprise when I was told about our peg. I thought to myself "what the heck is vampire diaries??". I've seen commercials but I never really paid attention to it, never saw a single episode and it never even crossed my mind to see what it was about. But it being our peg, I had to do some research about it and found the image above.
I have no idea if she did turn into a vampire but I'm pretty sure that this image is/was her 'human' look. So I've decided to use this as my guide for my first trial. I've seen other looks like a 'masquerade' which had darker colors but I'll do that some other time.
Yes I know, I'm no Nina but I had to do practice right?
Nina's make up had focus on her eyes. Judging on the photo, she had a light gold (almost skin like) color on her lids and dark browns on the outer corners of her eyes. Me having hooded eyes, needed to contour more and atleast mimic Nina's crease. Only her upper lash line had eyeliner but the lower one was lined with the same eyeshadow color she had on the outer corner (outer v) of her eye.
Her cheeks and lips color were kept 'barely there' but I've decided to use a tone similar to my own lips.
What I used:
Eyeshadow: All from my Stila Palette.
Eyeliner: Wet n wild black liner
Eyebrows: The faceshop
Cheeks: Elf contour duo kit
Lips: Mac in Cosmo (amp)
The look is lovely on you! I love your eye makeup the most! Good job! :D
