Eat Out: Mamou

Aside from their excellent food, I love Mamou for their "personal" service! Reservation is a must prior to dining here since they're almost always fully booked.

Mamou a home kitchen has been around for quite sometime now and they've been creating buzz about their steaks. Mamou's owner is apparently the sister-in-law of Cibo's owner, just imagine their food during family reunions!

Don't let the appearance fool you, there is a reason why it is a best-seller.

Angus ribeye USDA prime grade steak (we had ours in medium rare)
400 grams - P1,780
800 grams - P2,980

Now we know why they say Mamou has one of the best steaks in town! We abruptly compared it to Antonio's though and we thought that the latter was better. Don't get me wrong, Mamou's was good! only Antonio's was better. :)

they give you two sides when you order a steak. We got mashed potatoes and red steak rice.

Cooked to perfection!

While we were enjoying our dinner, a woman approached every single table that night asking if the food was okay. She seemed to be familiar with some diners, probably patrons. When she got to our table, I asked if she was the owner of Mamou's because I'd gladly kiss her hand and thank that she thought of opening such a restaurant. She smiled and told me that she is the Sister of the owner! good enough! haha! During our conversation, she asked if we were celebrating anything special, of course we told her that it was our wedding anniversary she just replied "that deserves a cupcake!". My husband told me that he liked that kind of gesture, very personal with their customers.

And indeed the cupcake was true! When we asked for our bill I asked the server if he could take a picture of us, he replied that it will look better with the cupcake on our table! a few minutes later he went back with this:
Mamou made our anniversary dinner extra special with a Sonja's red velvet cupcake! I'm sure the server saw how happy we were. Thank you Mamou! Truly one of the best!
