Eat Out: Slice

BHS Central opened a few months ago with a lot of new (and a few old) interesting shops and restaurants for us to explore. Last weekend my husband and I tried out this popular restaurant owned by Senator Pia Cayetano known as Slice.

While Slice offers a complete menu (appetizers, main course, etc) they are popular with their dessert menu especially the "bloggers recommended" Choco yema cupcakes.

Red velvet cake slice P220
This is what my husband ordered. He's not too fond of sweets and usually he just let me order for myself and takes a bite or two so I was surprised when he nearly devoured the whole slice alone! The slice itself is quite big and at first glance I thought that it was packed with too much cream cheese frosting. Slice's version is light and not too sweet, we left a bit of frosting though.

Mocha around P140 to P160 sorry I forgot.
I love it when you get something more than what you paid for (I'm sure the cost is not but you do get what I mean, right?). Aside from Maxim's Cafe (Maxims Tower, Resorts World Manila), this is one of the few restaurants who'll add a little "something" to go with your coffee. The cup was huge and the coffee was really good!

Choco Yema Cupcake P90
I definitely wouldn't miss on getting their popular Choco yema cupcake. Some says it's better than any cupcake Sonja has. Being a fan of Sonja's Cupcakes ever since they opened at Serendra, I knew I had to try this one.

It was moist and the dulce de leche/yema on top was good but I must admit, my heart still belongs to Sonja's. Worth a try but I'll spend my money on Sonja's.

All in all, we had a great experience at Slice! I'd say it was a 4 out of 5 for the dessert alone since we did not order anything else from their menu. It is quite nice that the developers of BHS thought of adapting the "hop on, hop off" bus ride from Singapore since it is really a long walk from Serendra to BHS central plus there are other spots to visit which you probably did not know exists in the said area. My husband and I are very adventurous when it comes to food that we have probably tried most (if not all) of the restaurants in Serendra and Bonifacio high street, glad that they added Central with all those unique restaurants that we'll surely visit soon!

Slice is located at Bonifacio High Street Central, West Superblock, 7th Ave cor 29th St Fort Bonifacio, Taguig.
